Dr. C. Guy Castles, III, is a second-generation pediatrician practicing at the office his father founded. He started practicing in 1991 after his father's retirement.
Dr. Castles is a graduate of MUSCs College of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at MUSC Children’s Hospital and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Castles currently serves on the Board of Trustees at MUSC and previously served on the Board of Trustees at Palmetto Health Richland and has been serving on the MUSC Board of Trustees since 2016. He has been honored for his numerous charitable contributions and dedication to his community with the prestigious Order of the Silver Crescent. In 2014 and 2016, the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine awarded him the Preceptor of the Year, and he was named The State Newspapers Best Pediatrician in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. Dr. Castles is an Elder at Centennial Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, earned by his commitment to his faith and community. Dr. Castles and his wife, Libby Lee Gannt, have six children, and 3 precious grandchildren. Beyond his devotion to family and work, he enjoys a variety of other activities, including golf and water sports.

Dr. Castles joined Pediatric Associates in 2003.
Dr. Castles is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina and completed his internship and residency at Palmetto Health Richland and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a member of the South Carolina Medical Association and serves on the board of Dickerson Children's Advocacy Center. Dr. Castles and his wife Liz Chitty Castles have 4 children. Beyond his devotion to faith, family and work. He enjoys a variety of activities including golf, hunting, fishing, and supporting Newberry College Athletics.
